With deep gratitude, we remember Late Edwin Vincent Lall (1944–2024), whose
unwavering commitment and faith greatly strengthened our mission and who remains
forever in our hearts.
Aged 80, Edwin was a retired executive of CASA (Church’s Auxiliary for Social
Action) and a life member of the Madras & Gaya YMCAs. A man of wide-ranging
knowledge and interests—including automobiles, medicine, social action, religious
philosophy, and languages such as English and Hindi—he generously shared his
wisdom, expertise, and experiences with all who knew him.
Following his retirement, despite fragile health and significant financial constraints,
Edwin offered his time and expertise to assist us in developing website content and
remained one of our most devoted well-wishers.
He once remarked, “Volunteering is a very rewarding and satisfying activity.” True to his
words, he lived his faith through selfless service, bringing care, connection, and dignity
to the lonely and isolated within our community.
Edwin’s legacy of compassion, dedication, and quiet strength continues to inspire all
who had the privilege of working with him.
